The Estate
The GIOVANNI MANZONE ESTATE is located in Monforte d’Alba, Piedmont. The winery has a productive vineyard of 8 hectares and uses only estate-grown grapes. Our production is limited (45,000 bottles- 3,700 cases- per year are produced in average). All wine making is carried directly, in order to obtain natural and high quality wines. Our wines are unclarified and unfiltered.--------- The HISTORY of this family-estate began in 1925 when Manzone Giovanni purchased “Ciabot del Preve”(House of the Parish Priest of Castelletto). In 1965 was produced the first bottles from Stefano Manzone e Giovanni Manzone. Little by little they purchased important vineyards on the beautiful hill of “Gramolere”, in Monforte d'Alba. In 2005 Mauro joined his father Giovanni, after having completed the studies at the historical Oenology School of Alba”. OUR WINES Rosserto is a specialty of the Manzone estate with 100% ROSSESE BIANCO autochthonous grape. Our production include also a Langhe Nebbiolo, 3 differents Cru of Barolo (Castelletto, Gramolere e Bricat-historical vineyard of the estate)and a Barolo Riserva only in the excellents vintages. We also produce a Barbera d'Alba fruity and very drinkable and a Barbera La Serra Superiore refined 16 months in oak barrels. The roots of our soil are the ones of Dolcetto: from its grapes we produce the Dolcetto d’Alba Le Ciliegie and Dolcetto La Serra.
